Broad Functions: Area Plaza Director focuses on delivering exceptional results, building a great culture, developing future leaders, and maintaining strong client relationships to multiple locations. Ensure the achievement of financial, operational, and guest service objectives achieved while fostering a best-in-class work environment. Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives across multiple restaurant units within a designated region.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and profitability goals for all units in the assigned region.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs across all units.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of quality in guest service, food preparation, and facility maintenance throughout the region.
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facilities, and sanitation through effective management of unit Managers and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Oversee financial performance of all units, including P&L management, cost control, and budget adherence.
- Conduct regular visits to all units to ensure adherence to company standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and mentor unit Managers, fostering their professional growth and leadership skills.
- Analyze and interpret financial and operational reports to drive performance improvements across the region.
- Ensure all units comply with preventative maintenance programs and equipment upkeep standards.
- Optimize labor scheduling and cost management across the region while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and administer fair and consistent corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations pertaining to health, safety, and labor requirements across all units.
- Develop and execute regional marketing, advertising, and promotional activities in collaboration with the marketing department.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, community leaders, brands and corporate partners.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, or related field experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in multi-unit restaurant management, with at least 3 years in a regional oversight role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a large team across multiple locations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including both front-of-house and back-of-house functions.
- Experience in strategic planning and implementing operational improvements across multiple units.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region (up to 70% travel may be required).
