Broad Functions: Assist the Director of Operations in the overall coordination, planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, EBIT budgeted, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Responsibilities:
- Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
- Create a culture and environment that embraces top level guest service, drives sales growth and support delivery of operations three strategic pillar’s vision and standards.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Help achieve company objectives in sales and EBIT, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment. Viewed as a cornerstone of success.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Operations in making employment and termination decisions. Provide effective and consistent messaging across the organization when communicating Areas Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
- Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs. Knowledge of EcoSure program and standards.
- Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.
- Assist and coordinate with Managers the process of employee performance appraisals.
- Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Operations comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
- Work side-by-side with Director of Operations and assist them in developing strong relationships with the landlord/client, Developers, and Individual Brand Partners/Franchisees.
- Work with Director of Operations in developing innovative solutions for positive, long-term transformations within the assigned property.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Communications, Management, or related field preferred, or associate degree with at least 5 years of front and back of the house restaurant management.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Be able to lead a team of employees to reach company goals.
- Possess excellent basic math skills and can operate a cash register or POS system. Efficient in Areas administrative/inventory systems.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
