Position Title: FP&A Manager - Capex Investment Projects
Reports To: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Date: May 2025
Broad Functions: Highly analytical and strategic FP&A Manager to lead the financial evaluation of capital investment projects related to new restaurant developments and rebranding’s in airport locations. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company’s growth through competitive bidding processes (RFPs), partnering closely with the Business Development team and other cross-functional departments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary financial partner to the Business Development team, supporting the analysis of new RFP opportunities and rebranding initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive benchmarking to assess sales potential and business viability of each opportunity.
- Develop detailed pro forma financial models, cash flow projections, and return analyses aligned with company investment policies and KPIs.
- Lead the preparation of financial materials and business cases for Investment Committee presentations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Consolidate and validate inputs from all relevant departments including Construction, Marketing, Procurement, Culinary, and Operations.
- Evaluate financial implications of capital expenditures (Capex), lease terms, and operating assumptions to inform decision-making.
- Continuously monitor and improve modeling standards, KPIs, and internal evaluation frameworks.
- Track post-investment performance and prepare post-mortem analyses of executed investments.
- Participate in special projects aimed at improving the company's profitability, as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA as a plus
2. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, investment analysis, or corporate finance; experience in multi-unit retail, hospitality, or airport concessions is a strong plus.
3. Proven ability to build complex financial models and investment cases for capital-intensive projects.
4. Strong understanding of financial KPIs, IRR, NPV, payback period, and sensitivity/scenario analysis.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership or investment committees.
6. High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a collaborative mindset.
7. Experience working in cross-functional environments involving development, construction, marketing, culinary and operations teams.
8. Familiarity with airport bidding processes (RFPs) and concession operations is a strong plus.
9. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role and requires color determination vision (no color blindness) and to sit for extended periods of time in front of the computer. This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Some bending and/or lifting of supplies and mail in/out materials from time to time may be required.
