Position Title:                 Graphic Project Coordinator

Reports To:                        Director of Marketing and Communications

Department:                     Marketing and Communications

Status:                               Non-Exempt


Broad Functions:

This position is a self-starter and works closely with our Director of Marketing and Communications with field concept managers. The functions to be performed have a dual approach requiring both a strong sense of graphic design elements and a desire to lead the simultaneous coordination of several projects. This is an entry-level position and an excellent opportunity for students and/or recent college graduates preferably with a strong will to learn in the Marketing field.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Design, support and implement materials in various formats: print, motion graphics and web marketing, & communications initiatives.

2.      Maintain and further develop current brand identities and style guidelines while gathering inputs from all required parties to move projects forward: Culinary, Purchasing, Product/Pricing, Operations, People, Talent & Culture, IT, etc.

3.      Execute various aspects of production including scanning, digital retouching, editing, special effects, file manipulation and layout.

4.      Manage and track tickets on the Marketing Department portal.

5.      Maintain project files and archives assigned. Provide ongoing updates and status.

6.      Act as the main contact with the printers and installers to execute the marketing needs. Ensure all payments are kept up to date with our main partners/vendors.

7.      Place orders for displays, labels, etc. through outside websites (Displays2Go, Hubert, etc.) and prepare packages for shipping to operations on the field.

8.      Update company posts on social media.

9.      Look for ways to improve the efficiency of the department.

10.  Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:

1.      Bachelor’s Degree Fine Arts (Graphic Design).

2.      1-2 years of experience in graphic design is a plus. 

3.      Working knowledge of graphic designing software in a MAC environment.

4.      Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) as well as user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point and Excel).

5.      Knowledge, and/or willingness to learn, motion graphics programs from the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects) to be able to perform some of the job duties required.

6.      Experience with both print and web design.

7.      Drawing / illustration abilities are a plus.

8.      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9.      Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

10.  Effective project management skills and ability to multitask.

11.  Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload as week as working independently with minimal supervision.

12.  Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines and effectively manage time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role and requires color determination vision (no color blindness) and to sit for extended periods of time in front of the computer.


This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Some bending and/or lifting of supplies and mail in/out materials from time to time may be required.


Travel is not an essential part of the job, but at times will be required due to (re)opening of new or existing locations, or simply due to a necessary update to the marketing materials or to attend a meeting elsewhere.
