Broad Functions: Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient

and timely seating of guests to a table that best serves their wishes and needs.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

2. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.

3. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in

party.

4. Call out name and number of party when tables become available.

5. Provide guests with estimated waiting time.

6. Clean tables before seating of each guests.

7. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

8. Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in

service stations.

9. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect

table for proper presentation and completeness.

10. Keep accurate guess count to ensure proper and efficient seating rotation.

11. Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.

12. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

13. Any other duties assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

1. At least 6 months of experience in a full service restaurant.

2. Verbal and written English language is essential. Able to read, speak and

understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take

orders.

3. Excellent communication and team work skills.

4. Excellent organizational skills.

5. Excellent guest service skills with attention to detail.

6. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand for

long periods of time, use hands and fingers, communicate verbally, and hear. The

associate is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The associate is

also occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and either lift or move up to 30

pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,

color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
