Investigations Analyst (Loss Prevention)
Position Title: Investigations Analyst
Reports To: Corporate Investigator

Broad Function:
The Corporate Investigations Analyst will conduct thorough investigations using key performance data analytics to identify fraud, policy violations, and other issues within the company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform Point of Sale Research and Review for Exceptions, weekly/monthly reports review
2. Utilizing Data analytics software to help identify suspect transactions.
3. Random review of cameras to identify theft and policy violations at all Areas locations.
4. Conduct professional investigations to resolve potential losses and policy violations quickly and thoroughly while maintaining confidentiality.
5. Work with locations and local law enforcement to ensure that documents and information required for prosecutions are provided.
6. Upon completion of each investigation complete detailed reports and ensure all evidence and documents are properly filed in the Areas approved data base.
7. Work with the cash management team to help resolve cash shortages from individual locations.
8. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of new programs, pilots and tests
9. Research industry developments/technology/policies that could help reduce the incidence of internal and external theft and fraud
10. Gather evidence, prepare a detailed report of your validated knowledge, maintain an ethical and professional approach when working to resolve fraud.
11. Additional responsibilities as directed by the Director of Asset protection and Risk Management or Corporate Investigations Manager.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of Loss Prevention, Asset Protection and Safety experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
· Understanding food and liquor cost control is an advantage
· WZ Interview and interrogation certification is required
· Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
· Self-starter with excellent task management, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
· Ability to manage and make progress on multiple projects under specific time requirements
· Knowledge of Micros POS and “XBR” exception-based reporting tools preferred
· experience with MS Office suite “Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint”

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role and requires color determination vision (no color blindness) and to sit for extended periods of time in front of the computer. This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Some bending and/or lifting of supplies and mail in/out materials from time to time may be required.
