Regional Director of Operations FLTP

Job Title:                   Regional Director of Turnpike Operations

Broad Functions: Lead and oversee multiple turnpike markets across a defined region, focusing on delivering exceptional results, building a great culture, developing future leaders, and maintaining strong client relationships. Ensure the achievement of financial, operational, and guest service objectives while fostering a best-in-class work environment across all turnpike locations in the region.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Meet and exceed regional expectations in financial performance, people management, client satisfaction, and business partner relationships across multiple turnpike markets.

2.    Develop and implement strategies to create a best-in-class culture where team members are valued, appreciated, and driven to provide an exceptional guest experience throughout the region.

3.    Identify, mentor, and develop the region's future leaders, ensuring a strong leadership pipeline across all markets.

4.    Maintain the highest standards of food safety and brand compliance across all regional turnpike operations.

5.    Manage and optimize regional budgets to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.

6.    Ensure strict adherence to brand standards across all regional locations.

7.    Serve as a visible and transparent leader through regular market visits to turnpike facilities.

8.    Create and execute regional action plans to address retention, turnover, and overall employee satisfaction.

9.    Collaborate with the Vice President of Turnpike Operations to develop and implement business strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

10. Oversee regional staffing requirements and budget guidelines in conjunction with annual financial statements.

11. Ensure compliance with background check requirements across all regional locations.

12. Optimize schedules and ensure payroll compliance across all regional operations while using the workforce management tool.

13. Work with Directors and market leadership teams to maintain high-quality storefronts and ensure timely store openings throughout the region.

14. Interface with Legal, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Business Development, Finance, and other business units in the daily affairs of regional operations.

15. Act as a corporate representative for public relations activities across the region as needed.

16. Extensive travel required throughout the region.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team, including Directors of Turnpike Operations and Plaza General Managers.

1.    Set clear goals and hold team members accountable for delivering results across the region.

2.    Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to direct reports.

3.    Address and resolve associate relations matters promptly and effectively throughout the region.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field. Master's degree a plus.

2.    10+ years of experience in upper management of food, beverage, and retail operations, handling multiple markets (30+ locations).

3.    Proven track record of successfully running a multi-region, multi-million dollar business.

4.    Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze and optimize business performance across diverse turnpike markets.

5.    Excellent leadership skills with a focus on developing and motivating regional teams.

6.    Ability to create and maintain a positive, high-performance culture across geographically dispersed turnpike locations.

7.    Strong client relationship management skills at the regional level.

8.    Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant business software.

9.    Outstanding strategic planning and execution abilities across multiple markets.

10. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

11. Strong analytical skills for budget management, business analysis, and risk assessment.

12. Exceptional time management, organization, and project management skills.

13. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of guest relations, diplomacy, and professionalism.

14. Valid driver's license required, with clean driving record.
