Job Title: Concept Manager

Department: Operations

Reports To: General Manager

Status: Exempt


Broad Functions: Overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training and leadership to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, cleanliness of the store. Responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the store including measuring business trends, maximizing sales/profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses, shortages and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest.

2. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.

3. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.

4. Maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.

5. Achievement of store objectives in sales, service, quality, cleanliness and appearance of the store, through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

6. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures.

7. Maintain a record of all products and the people who are responsible for managing these products.

8. Maintain all merchandising standards, display presentation, signing standards and monitor inventory levels.

9. Development of the retail team for your store in all areas of managerial and professional development.

10. Monitoring sales performance, through the analysis of sales reports. Assist in adjusting strategies.

11. Responsible for store inventory.

12. Prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise.

13. Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the company’s receiving policies and procedures.

14. Building and sustaining strong relationships with vendors through effective collaboration and communication.

15. Responsible for your team performance appraisals.

16. Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.

17. Be knowledgeable of company policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.

18. Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the company, employees and guests.

19. Provide advice and suggestions to General Manager as needed.

21. Assign employees to specific duties to include a daily checklist. Plan and prepare work schedules to include lunch breaks.

22. Any other duties as assigned by General Manager.


Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, or Minimum of an Associate degree with strong experience in retail and merchandising (3-5 years).

· Good oral, written and reading communication skills.

· Able to work a flexible schedule/ including holidays and weekends

· GUEST service oriented and able to identify customer needs.

· Ability to lead and supervise others.

· Organized and a self-starter.

· Must have strong cash handling experience.

· Familiar with different types of POS systems.

· Computer skills and good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

· Familiar with retail inventory procedures.
