Job Title:                    Senior Cash Reconciliation Specialist

Department:             Accounting

Reports To:                Cash Reconciliation Manager

Status:                       Hourly

Broad Functions: Oversees and acts as the primary contact for any cash room balancing discrepancies that may arise from any assigned locations. Responsible for working closely with the Treasury and Asset Protection Departments in cash management responsibilities as well as working with each location to ensure compliance and optimal performance in accordance with company goals.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1.     Oversees and acts as the primary contact for any cash room balancing discrepancies that may arise from any assigned locations

2.     Manage cash requirements (liquidations) for each location and coordinate process with Accounting, Treasury, and the Asset Prevention Departments.

3.     Conduct preliminary investigations into cash theft based upon data from the liquidation process and provides guidance in adjusting any mistake/discrepancies in the system.

4.     Ensures sites are in compliance when performing liquidations as well as monitors cashier activity across the different systems.

5.     Provides weekly and monthly analysis of cash discrepancies in different locations, identifies areas of improvement, and pulls ad-hoc reporting.

6.      Performs other functions as requested by the Cash Reconciliation Manager and assists with re-training locations to ensure they are following the correct process.

7.      Responsible for escalating activity not in compliance with cash handling policy.

8.      Understand the flow and function of the POS cash recyclers, to correctly support operations in potential issues that may arise.  

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proficient in Microsoft office and other associated software. Microsoft Excel experience in formulas, reports, tables and graphic representations required.
  2. Proficient in Data Analysis and interpretation.
  3. Experience in identifying trends and patterns.
  4. Attention to detail.
  5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  6. Cash Handling management experience or at least five years of front and back of the house restaurant management preferred.
  7. Food and Beverage experience preferred.
  8. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  9. Experience with FDK, Micros preferred.
