Job Description
Position Title:Service Center Associate - MDTP
Pay Rate: $15 per hour
Reports To:Service Center Manager/Director or Regional Vice-President
Department:Operations
Status:Non-Exempt
Broad Functions: In partnership with the Operations team this position is responsible for creating and maintaining a high level of the GUEST Approach within the plazas. The Service Centers Associate assists Management with guest services for the Plazas.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet all Guest in a welcoming and friendly manner, answer all of their questions and concerns, and perform a minimum of 10 surveys (table touches)
- Be a role model for the highest level of the customer service by embodying memorable, high-quality, fun, and high-energy interactions with Guests
- Ensure that work area is clean throughout the day and replenishing merchandise as needed.
- Work with local community outreach program
- Communicate daily to the operations team and share Guest feedback, brand audits, and survey results.
- Encourage and reinforce great behaviors by ensuring that reward programs are used consistently and correctly (i.e., Bus Programs, Brands, Company standards, MDTP, etc.)
- Assist in the Events Scheduled/ and work Closely with the State Department of Tourism
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer and POS register system.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required associate degree preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledgeable of Maryland geography and tourism markets
- Ability to communicate and speak one-on-one and exchange information using strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work without direct supervision for long periods of time.
- Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, maneuvering through the internet and using technology.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for extended periods of time. This position is performed within an office environment whose duties are primarily performed behind a desk. Employees in these positions frequently operate a computer, read and write, and interact with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices. They move about within the office to access file cabinets, documents, office machinery, and other equipment. They may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. Occasionally move objects weighing up to 30 lbs., and sometimes, but rarely, up to 50 lbs.
